Love Is Where You Are

By the fireplace a blanket I took,
While embers crackled aloud,
Against the windows the rain patters,
Your safe return home I wished,
Shadows of the fire danced,
My mind imprinted with you,
Warmth fills the room,
Almost feeling your touch,
Alone, but not lonely I smile,
Hearing you walk in I turn,
Across the way you reach me,
Champagne in glasses of mist,
On the brick they sit,
Your arms around me I have waited,
With lips of tenderness we embrace,
Twinkle of your eyes from the fires glow,
A smile of peace crosses your face,
As you say to me…Love is where you are.
