Highlanders Love

Close to home with anticipation,
The Highlander MacKeltar,
Turns to the castle with a smile,
For his love awaits him therein.

In his home a warming fire lit,
He gazes upon her long, curly hair,
Her eyes glazed with stars,
She throws herself into his arms.

An embrace so deep and passionate,
The stones of Craigh na Dun shivered,
He fills himself with her scent of vanilla,
Feeling the love surround them.

He sits her in a chair by the fire,
Places one hand on her heart,
To begin the bond of true love,
Placing his other hand on his.

She covers each hand with hers,
Her breath quickening with his,
Words spoken from his lips,
Of beauty and elegance.

"If aught must be lost,
it will be my honor for yours.
If one must be forsaken,
it will be my soul for yours.
Should death come anon,
it will be my life for yours,
I am Given."

Repeating the vows after him,
Emotions crush them both,
As they fall into each other,
Feeling the bond of their souls.

Pledged to their soulmate forever,
He kisses the tears from her eyes,
Then sweeping his lips over hers,
With all the tenderness of his heart.
